For the Brave Writer
Claw and Quill Writer's Guild is an extension of a private novel critiquing group. We wanted to bring in more members, build our group up, and give novelists a safe place to talk about writing, learn about writing, and exchange crits.
Actions have consequences...first rule of life. And the second rule is this - you are the only one responsible for your own actions. ~~Holly Lisle, Fire In The Mist, 1992
Our core group of members got their start at Online Writing Workshop for Science Fiction and Fantasy (OWW) back in the day when Del Rey managed it. We learned that we must brave the chances of criticism and rejection and stay on the true path of reaching out with our writing.
Our characters give us stories that entertain, teach, and inspire. As writers we need to band together to give one another endurance, courage, and food for developing our craft and improving our stories.
All Genres Appreciated
No matter what genre you write in, you're welcome to join us for conversation and crit exchanging at Claw and Quill Writer's Guild. Many of us write Science Fiction and Fantasy, but we're also fans of Horror, Romance, Adventure, Drama, Thrillers, Mysteries, and so much more, including the cross-genres.
Claw and Quill Writer's Guild was originally set up as a way for novelists to get fuller, more reliable critiques on their novels in 2005. It has gone through two transformations and two names before becoming Claw and Quill Writer's Guild.
We have three main moderators at the critiquing forum. Diana Cacy Hawkins is the main administrator for the entire website and the related forums. Dragonlady and Sharon also moderate the critiquing forum and the writer's forum with her.
If you would like to join our critiquing group, see the writers discussion forum for instructions on joining up.
We are looking for possible volunteer moderators for the resource forums. They are in need of updating badly. Once we get them updated to a useable level, the links to them will be made available here.
I know it's a pain, but each forum connected to this site is separate. That means you'll have to register for each individually if you want to be involved. Of course, if you just want to come in and chat with other writers at the writers forum, that's okay too.
